I would like to suggest to everyone if you do not have a recreation permit for Eglin AFB please get one. If you do not know how to get one go to Jackson Guard in Niceville. You will have to watch a short video on Unexploded Ordinance and pay the $10.00 fee and you are all set. This pass is required for you and your passengers over the age of 16 yrs. Please make the time to pick yours up there will be many rides in this area.

Article I. Mission Statement
1. Emerald Coast Jeepers (ECJ) is a family oriented club for jeep enthusiasts located in the Florida
panhandle. Emerald Coast Jeepers is a non-profit organization organized for the purpose of social, recreational and educational activities designed to foster the enjoyment of jeeps and the sport of off-roading,while protecting an preserving our national resources.
Article II. Membership
1. Requirements for current or prospective members include the following:
A. Core Member: Be the owner of a jeep Vehicle.
B. Associate Member: Be the ower of a four wheel drive vehicle and be sponsored by a core member. Associate member are afforded all club rights and privileges as core members, however associate member may not hold club office.
C. Honorary Member: A person or business that may not own a 4WD vehicle but has been recognized as a supporter of ECJ. Honorary member must be voted in by a majority vote. Honorary members do not have vote rights and may not hold a club office.
2. Membership type will automatically change based on eligibility above, shold a core member no longer have a jeep but still have a 4WD vehicle membership will change to associate. In the event that a member no longer has a 4WD vehicle they will be allowed to remain a member until the end of the membership year.
3. In order to ensure the preservation of the Club's identity as a jeep club, voting membership must always consist of at least 51% core members. This will be accomplished by limiting sponsorship of associate members to one per core member, If an associate member's sponsor is no longer a core member they must find another sponsor or be dismissed from the club.
4. Membership is base on a family unit and given one vote per membership. Family members are considered all persons living in one household.
5. Prospective members must attend at least one monthly meeting or club event to apply for membership. In addition all prospective members are required to read and adhere to all club policies for on and off the trail.
6. All members must conduct themselves in a respectable and orderly manner. Anny member not doing so may be subject to dismissal. A formal complaint may be brought, in writing to any club officer to prompt a vote for dismissal. One or more of the club officers will meet with the accused and the person(s) that submitted the request for dismissal to determine the validity of the claim prior to submitting the request to the club for a vote. Consideration for dismissal of a member must be addressed and voted on at a club meeting. A two-thrids vote of members at the meeting is required before a member can be dismissed. If a club member is dismissed for any reason they forfeit any dues,fees,monies paid to the club, and they will not be eligible for membership again.
7. Members agree to remove club stickers and logos from vehicle in the event they and/or the vehicle are no longer in the club.
Article III. Dues
1. Payable every September and cover a 12 month period. Dues will not be prorated however new members joining within 60 days prior to 01 September will be given full membership for the upcoming year. Initial membership dues are $35 and renewal is $25 thereafter. New members are entitled to one club windshield banner or logo sticker without additional fee.
2. All dues are payable directly to the club's Treasurer via cash or check only. Any fees incurred from a bounced check must be reimbursed by the individual who wrote the check and he or she must pay in cash thereafter.
3. Members with dues more then 60 days in arrears will be removed from the roster and member's only section of the forum and will lose club privileges. Additionally, they will no longer be eligible for the "renewal" dues price and will have to pay $35.
Article IV. Officers and Duties
1. All officer positions will be held for one year term. Prospective officer must be a club member for a minimum of six months in order to be eligible for a position. Elections will be held at the February meeting with nominations closed in January.
2. New officers assume responsibility on 01 March.
3.All board members must attend at least 50% of all club events. In the event that an elected board member fails to meet his or her responsibility, the membership has the right to request a vote to remove the officer from his or her position.
4. There must be at least one officer present at all organized club events.
5.In the event that the president position becomes vacant for any reason the Vice president will assume the position until the next election. Should the VP or AO position be come vacant someone will be appointed by the remaining officers and maintain responsibility until a new officer can be elected. The membership may choose to hold a special election early to fill the position or wait until the February elections.
a. PRESIDENT:
i. Exercise general supervision of the club,club affairs, and be the primary representative for the club in all formal interactions with outside organizations.
ii. Conduct general membership and board meeting( as needed)
iii. Manage the club calender of events and assure delegation of assignments to events coordinators.
iv. Act as administer of club forum.
v. In the event of any tie vote, the president will decide the vote.
b. VICE PRESIDENT
i. Act as president in the absence of the President
ii. Assist the president in conducting club meeting,event and act asa club representative with the community and supporting businesses.
iii. Assist in administration/moderation of the club forum.
iv. Maintain responsibility as the club webmaster. This job may be delegated, but the VP maintains responsibility.
c. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
i Record minutes of all club meeting and ensure they are posted in forum and website for review by members.
ii. Maintain a copy of all club membership paperwork and rosters.
iii. Provide a copy of all documents to other club officers.
iv Provide phone numbers list to members ( willing to share their numbers) semi-annually.
v. Assist in administration/moderation of club forum.
d. TREASURER
i. Maintain all club finances. Receive and cash all checks and present regular financial statements at club meetings.
ii. Assist in administration/moderation of club forum.
Article V. Club Funds
1. Membership dues and any other funds collected will be used to pay for club logo stickers, website/forum maintenance. Funds may also be used to provide for management of the club at the discretion of the officers not to exceed the amount of $100 and all officers must agree. Any other use/expenditures must be approved by the membership prior to use.
2. Club funds will be used explicitly for the use of ALL members if voted on and approved by at lease 2/3 vote of attending members at club meeting. Examples include a club BBQ etc.
3. Any funds collected specifically for the purpose of contributing to a charitable organization MUST remain separate from the club's general funds.
4. In the event of the disbanding of Emerald Coast jeepers all club funds and assest will be donated to a charity organization. Organization to be determined by the remaining members or board members.
Article VI. Charity
1. The club will identiy one charity group to support annually. The group we support must be formally recognized as a charity or community support organization and it must provide support to our lacal community in the panhandle area. Members will present nominations for our support at the January meeting and a vote will be conducted at the february meeting. The membership may choose to contiune to support the same group without new nominations.
2. Additionally the club will provide support to efforts that contribute to the preservation and development of the sport of off-roading.
3. The club will not specifically solicit financial support for any individual. This does not prohibit any member discussing an individual or family in need( member or not) at a meeting hower, Choosing to provide support will be left to the discretion of each individual.
Article VII. Club Meeting
1. Club meeting will be held on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00pm, at Milton Dodge on hwy 90. In special circumstances, the meeting day and time can be changed by a majority vote of the membership, on an as need basis.
Article VIII. Amendments to Bylaws
1. With the exception the the club name, and identity as a Jeep club, amendment can be made to the club bylaws as the members see fit to change with growing, active club.
2. Proposed changes must be submitted in the member's section of the club forum no later than 21 days prior to the meeting on which the bylaw changes will discussed and votes upon.
3. A two-thirds vote of the voting members present is required to amend the bylaws of Emerald Coast Jeepers. Bylaws changes become effective immediately as approved by the membership.

.April 2010 Minutes :
The meeting of Emerald Coast Jeepers was held on 29 April 2010 at 1900 at Milton Dodge. President Lucas Gilmore called the meeting to order at 1900. Members in attendance were: L.Gilmore,M.Douglas,D.Weaver,D.Gallant,J.Scott,J.Lamont,M.Simmons,K.Carrancejie,D.Gulick,TGulick,D.Hill,K.Lovett,K.Holler,L.Flores,F.Allen,S.Hollar,E.Habisreitinger,F.Bruton,A.Burns Minutes of the last meeting were not read. They are available for viewing on the website and the forum. Reports of Officers: · President Report: The Tech class for body lift removal went well. The White sands Jeep jam went well our club took several trophies and plaques home. · V.P Report: The website fees will be due soon in the next’s couple of months ( approx $120.00 ) · A.O reports: The relay for life is tomorrow we will be passing a schedule around for every one that plans on a tending so we have cover for all 18 hrs. · Treasurer’s Report: was ready to the members and will be posted on the member section of the club forums. New Business · The T-shirts are in D.Gallant will passing the out after the meeting. An additional 26 shirts were bought for new members that didn’t get the chance odder any. They will be sold for $15.00 each. · A welcome package as been completed and may update in the future. The package includes club bilaws, brochure, tread lightly, and a member card along with sticker. · The club is looking to rent a park in Oct. Lucas is talking to Morris Mnt. The dates will be the 1st or 3rd weekends. We will vote on this at next month’s meeting with more detail from Lucas. · Dave Gallant is working with Santa Rosa Volunteer Rescue to have the club be a part of the Search and Rescue Team. The S.R.V.R want the club to help them in missing people, Hurricanes, our role would be ground crews and being able to move fast threw off road places. Individuals can also participate · The club voted on to buy 125 key chains from Michelle for $35.00. · The Go topless ride is May 8th we are meeting at the corner of Blue Angle and 98 at 9am will ride to Foley and meet MJClub the ride back along the beach. Unfinished Business · Do we want to buy more Cozies’? · A ride where a Boy Scout group can meet with us and ride. · Tech class of doing dual batteries.
